At Haniesta, product safety and customer well-being are fundamental to our design and manufacturing process. All our rugs are crafted using natural materials and intended for safe indoor residential use.

Materials & Manufacturing Safety

  • AZO-free and low-impact dyes compliant with UK & EU textile regulations
  • No harmful chemicals or heavy metals intentionally added
  • Handmade processes reduce industrial and environmental impact

Fire Safety

  • Designed for domestic indoor use only
  • Wool has inherent fire-resistant properties
  • Keep away from open flames, heaters, fireplaces, and candles
  • Do not place rugs directly over heat sources

Slip Resistance

Rugs placed on smooth or polished surfaces may move.

  • Use a non-slip rug underlay
  • Improves safety
  • Extends rug lifespan

Underfloor Heating Compatibility

  • Compatible with underfloor heating systems
  • Ensure floor temperature does not exceed 27°C
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes

Allergy & Sensitivity Information

  • Wool and jute are naturally hypoallergenic
  • Initial wool shedding is normal and harmless
  • Ensure ventilation when first unrolling the rug if sensitive

Child & Pet Safety

  • Safe for homes with children and pets when used as intended
  • Ensure rugs lie flat and edges are not curled
  • Avoid placement near stairs or doorways

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Every rug inspected before dispatch
  • Structural integrity and secure stitching checked
  • Minor variations in colour, size, or weave are natural and not defects
